You can start to get your puppy ready for Agility right away. Even though you do not want to train on most of the equipment there are many important foundation exersises that your puppy can and needs to learn and get prepared.
All dogs, regardless of breed, size, age or papers, can compete in Agility. Some breeds are more successful then others. Most have no problem enjoying and succeeding in this dog sport.
As long as your dog is healthy, you are willing to put the time and effort into training your dog there should be no reason not to start Agility training.
Agility is physically demanding and you must check with your veterinarian before starting your dog into the sport.
Temperament
Your dog can not be people or dog aggressive.
Anyone that is physically able and has control of their dog can compete in Agility. There are special senior and junior classes available to compete in.
